Patient Participation Group (PPG)

The PPGs from Exeter Surgery and Kidlington and Yarnton Medical Group merged when the practices merged in 2015.  Our purpose is to represent all patients and we meet regularly with the partners and management team of the practice to advise about issues that are important to patients, to learn about changes taking place in the practice, to support the practice, and to work with the practice team in improving the flow of communication between us all.

Please see minutes from the meeting as follows:

July 2018

July, 2017

October, 2017

The next meeting will be held in January, 2018.

We are a well established group with 20 members.  If you would like to join the group, or would like the group to discuss an issue that is of concern, please contact the Practice Director, Annaliese Owen on 01865 842292. Annaliese will put you in touch with a current member of the group.

Virtual Group

Kidlington and Yarnton Medical Group (KYMG) launched a virtual PPG early in 2015 and we continue to include feedback from this group in our discussions.  Members of this virtual PPG are invited to have their say on practice matters through regular short surveys.  We would love to hear from all patients this way, so  please do leave your email address at reception.  This is a great way for you to let us know what you think if you don't have the time to attend meetings.  The administration of the surveys is carried out by the practice manager and your email addresses are only used for the purpose of surveys so your details will be kept confidential.

The PPG holds a meeting once every two-three months which is always attended by the practice director or manager and by a GP partner. In between meetings the PPG circulates emails such as agendas and minutes of meetings to each other and the practice manager. The practice manager encourages communication from and between the PPG and answers specific queries from members when required. These are usually by email but can on occasion be by telephone.
